The Liberty Tree is located in Carlow Town, in the Town Square, and commemorates those who were killed in the 1798 insurrection in Carlow and who lie interred in the nearby Croppies Grave.
It was designed by John Behan who has skillfully created a fine memorial and an ambience round which people gather to relax, particularly in the summer months.
