Okay, the Celts weren't the original inhabitants of Ireland - nor Scotland, Wales etc. The original prehistoric inhabitants who built Newgrange and the other barrios as well as Stonehenge, got there by crossing a land-bridge between France and the British Isles (including Ireland). The above mentioned structures they built are older than the pyramids. The Celts had Brehan Law long before the Introduction of Roman Law and here the history lesson ends!

Oh boy - thinking of the watering hole in Newbridge where we use to go for a pint or a few after work at Rotary Screens.
Burp!

Murphy, Failte Ireland has a lot of information on Ireland, including places to stay.
Official web site for Failte Ireland:
http://www.discoverireland.ie/
under the Destinations tab you should find a link to Donegal. The site also has a search engine for accommodation and other features that may prove useful.

Hi...If anyone is on the site...I am really just beginning my search for anything that I can learn about Ireland. My cousin has done our history and my great, great grandfather was born in 1804 in Innestoge, Kilkeny, County Down.
My great, great grandmother was b orn in Fanad, Rathemelton near Louth Swilly, Donegal, Ulster.
This is the first "couple" to come from Ireland.
I am beginning to plan a vacation to Ireland as I would love to see where they came from.
Does anyone have any information on these areas?
I would love to hear from you if you do...
Thanks so much...

Karin and I would love to re-visit Ireland armed with our cameras, but we'd have to win big on Powerball and that's beginning to look as likely as finding a mermaid in our bathtub.
