Kilkee Golf Club, Kilkee, County Clare
Originally, a nine-hole course, Kilkee tends to be overshadowed by the presence locally of the more famous Lahinch and newly created Doonbeg. To ignore it on a golf vacation would be a travesty of justice, both to club and player for this is a superior test of golf. Kilkee has developed into an 18-hole course. In latter years, it has blended the old and the new into a course of which the members are very proud. The views in Kilkee are breathtaking, with first and second tees looking out onto the Atlantic Ocean and the third Tee overlooking Chimney Bay with a spectacular clifftop view.
