About The Barrow Way is the intersection of the River Barrow and the Grand Canal at Athy in County Kildare.

The Barrow is the second longest river in Ireland after the Shannon.

It Measures 192 km and is part of the Three Sisters Rivers (the others being the Suir and the Nore) that reach the sea at Waterford.

The Grand Canal is the southernmost of a pair of canals that connect the city of Dublin with the River Shannon in the west, the two canals nearly encircling Dublin's inner city.

Athy is a busy market town of nearly 8,000 people with concrete products and drink additives production as the main industries in the town.
