County Wexford is located in the south east corner of Ireland. It is a holiday Mecca for Irish tourists in particular as the county is dubbed the “sunny southeast” and this claim is backed up scientifically. It receives more hours of sunshine per day than any other county in Ireland and the lowest rainfall as well. Being just two hours from Dublin, it is a very popular bolthole for residents of the capital, many of whom own holiday homes in the county. The leading attraction is the glorious beaches that dot the county all the way around it’s coastline from Courtown in the north of the county to Duncannon, close to Waterford City. The other principal towns in Wexford are New Ross, Gorey, and Enniscorthy.
