About
Rackwallace was the earliest Christian settlement in Monaghan and translates as 'house of the son of Maulus' (Rath Mhic Mhalis).
There is an ancient graveyard in Rackwallace which was sadly neglected over the centuries.
The ancient graveyard is now a series of small bumps in the ground with a few headstones.
Rackwallace is part of the parish of Clogher and is located beside Monaghan Town.
